Kaitlin Anley
Kaitlin Anley is a bereaved mother, writer, and artist living in the mountains of Interior British Columbia. Her first child, Nora, was stillborn during labour due to undetected umbilical cord compressions just three days before her due date in July of 2023. She became involved with CC4SP in early 2024. After fundraising for and donating two CuddleCots to hospitals in her region, Kait turned her focus from bereavement care to advocating for stillbirth prevention strategies and action on a national level. She has written publicly on her experience of stillbirth and makes art around themes in her ongoing experiences as an invisible mother in a death-phobic and grief-averse society.
